What We Have Here Is A Failure To Communicate

Oct 01, 2010 14:01

This is a conversation over several emails with a band's manager yesterday, after sending them a mockup of their band's logo + a slogan on one of those giant foam hands:

He: "Can we get the current logo on that side in big and on the other side can we get the other text?"

Us: “We can only print on one side of the foam hand unfortunately.”

He: “Ok can I see a mock with the new logo for all on the other.”

Unsure what that sentence meant, we tried to clarify.

Us: “New logo in place of the old?”

He: “Yes. Mocked on both sides.”

Us: “We can't print on both sides of the hand”

He: “I know. I want to see mocks of both sides options please?”

Us: “The attached mockups are our only options for the hand.”

He: “So you cannot print on the other side?”

Us: "No. The manufacturer will only print on one side."

Apparently we were unclear about our inability to print on both sides of the foam hand, because he called this morning to find out if he could get them printed on both sides.

Not even joking.
