I got my MacBookPro this past Saturday. I pretty much danced out of the store with it tightly clasped to my chest daring ....just daring anyone to look at it. No one which, which is good for them! MINE! haha. I have survived without it for quite awhile now and - to put things in perspective - could survive without it in the future as well. But this machine is like a construction worker's backhoe... you can dig a foundation for a building with your bare hands, but a backhoe helps put the life back in life.  (rabbit trail: a friend of mine made himself a shirt that says "help put the fun back in dysfunctional" <- I think its hilarious :-P) I havent made it to IT yet to get it approved to hook up to the internet - apparently you have to set up Mac's differently. Aaaaaaaaaaaaaand I don't have the Adobe Creative Suite yet either. I am SURE that once I can do more than take funny pictures of myself and try to learn chess by watching the computer's moves I will be posting again aboutthe utter JOYS of my Mac :-D For example, a future post could potentially chronicle my adventures with it outside the four walls of my dormroom. Indeed it could travel with me to the grassy knoll that is my "front yard" or the coffee shop downtown or the falls and gorges of Ithaca or the .....the possibilitis are endless! That's what is so nice: portability, speed and memory. Anywayz, I will let you know when Charlie makes his first post. I named him Jack at first, but then afriend pointed out that he could be referred to as J Mack, like the basketball player made famous last year... Charles is a good solid name for him to grow into, Charlie is cute and Chuck isn't half bad either. Any other name suggestions? I'm gonna suck at naming my kids! I havent even named my car yet! Bedtime!
