I'm being unkosher and posting 'on the job'
Quick post - I'm still alive. Did I mention that I got a new job? I'm giving Talbots notice Saturday. My job is a 'design' job at a place called Visual Horizons. The same people who own/run VH also do ScrapSMART and StoreSMART. Basically what I am doing right now is clip arty stuff. Nothing EXTREMEY exciting, but I work 9-5 M, W. Right now, I'm just excited for the stable hours! I work with a guy in his midtwenties, I would say, who is taaaaaaall and skinny and has a loooong ponytail. His name is Doug. He doesn't eat meat. He's also very nice. My "bosses" are Reenie and Stan ( NOT Stan and Reenie, mind you! haha!) She is most definitely the power behind the throne in a very upfront about it way. Doug doesn't like her, therefore I don't like her :-P Juuust kidding. I'm not crazy about her because she bullies people and talks to them like they're complete idiots. *rolls eyes* I don't really know anyone else in the building. There's Molly, the financial person, who has the longest fake, neon purple nails that I have ever seen on a middle aged white lady. I think I may have done a double-take the first time I saw them/her. You really can't look at one without the other! So now I am officially booked 9-5, M-F, either with work, internship or class. BUT I should have all of my weekends free!
I think I've decided to stay on campus and work on my stuff for the Senior Show over Spring Break. I'll have to work that M, W anyway and internship T,R,F... of course, I could have the days off from my internship if anyone wants to whisk me away to NYC! ...or anywhere, haha! I'll have to do some research on fun places to go in the wintertime that are cheap and close enough to make it a day trip. Let me know if you're interested in doing anything. Oh, and I'm pretty sure that the shooting photos with internet guy are not gonna happen. I don't wanna have to bring mace along with my camera and no one will go with me so *shrug* oh well. If anyone wants to go downtown and shoot with me, pleeeease call me! It's not very fun to go alone.
