Maggie Grace Icon Tutorial.

Making this:

Made in PSP7, but Im sure its transferable

First, Your gonna need a base, Im using this one; (from this pic: here) (Credit:jrwells via hires_hotties)

Sharpen Once;

Duplicate your base layer, and set the duplicate to screen 50%

Now, Duplicate your base layer again and drag the new duplicate so it is on top of the screened layer, desaturate it (shift + h) and set that layer to soft light, opacity 100%, and merge all (or flatten image.. same difference)

Now, Take your magic wand tool (you might want to zoom in a bit),
My Magic Wand settings were on:
Match Mode: RGB Value
Tolerence: 26
Feather: 0

Now, holding down the shift key, slect all the areas around maggie and her chair, like so:

Now, Invert the selection (selections > invert)

Now, leaving the selection how it is, take the following texture:

by canadianclearly
And Ctrl + L it to paste it as a new layer, and with your selection still selected it should look like this

Now, press ctrl + x to deleted the part of the texture that is selected, to show maggie:

And set the texture laye to Overlay 100%:

Now, keeping that selected part still selected, take the following texture:

by ?
And again, ctrl + l onto the icon:

And ctrl + x to delete the part of the texture that in covering maggie:

Now, set that layer to soft light 100%

Now, Duplicate your first texture layer (The one thats on overlay) and drag its duplicate so its on top of everything (BTW, you can get rid of the selection now :D )
Now, on your duplicated texture layer, go to the colourize options ( (Colours > Colourize ... Or just Shift + L) And use these settings:

(thought I would jsut chuck that whole thing in, so you could see what colout were aiming for xD )

Now, Take your eraser tool (any settings) and erase the part of the texture on the top left, jsut above her legs, and voila!

I wanted to add text, but my psp was being annoying and shutting down every time I tried ;_;
Any Questions or problems, just ask and I'll try my best to help :)
