I didn’t really do much of anything. Seems like my ass was fused to Michael’s sofa. I got to watch "The Island." I had never heard of it before, but I was really impressed with it.
Good times were had at the Ale House with the girls on Friday night. We drank a little too much beer and ate the hell outta some cheese fries and garlic zingers. I still giggle at Lizzie’s impression of our drunk friend. WAHHHH! Which reminds me, I still need to make a copy of the Yeah Yeah Yeah’s cds… concert is on October 13, WOOHOO!!
Michael took my mom and I to brunch on Saturday morning to a little hole-in-the-wall restaurant. The food was fantastic and it was a really good opportunity for my mom to get to sit and talk with Michael. She’s a big part of my life and likes to meet whoever I’m dating. She said that there was this glow about me throughout the entire meal and that I look really happy with him, so that makes her happy. What's funnier is that my friends have been telling me that I'm all smiley and giggly when he's around me and that's not normally like me.
We are planning on a small trip out to Los Angeles, possibly in late October. Michael has to go out there to interview someone for a movie he’s making and he asked me to go along with him. I’ve never been out there, and it will be a short trip (Friday through Monday). Dates are still tentative, but we’re looking at October 20th through 23rd.
OOOHHH, I almost forgot…… we made a HUGE discovery on Saturday. We went to the liquor store to get someone, but I was on the fence on whether I wanted vodka or rum. I’m more of a rum drinker and Michael’s more of a vodka drinker, but I usually sacrifice and drink vodka so we don’t have to spend money on two bottles. ...And then I saw it... the brand Three Olives makes GRAPE VODKA. If you know me well, you’ll know that anything grape flavored needs to be in my mouth. So we bought it and mixed it with Red Bull. It was really good. Later on we were driving home from the mall and listening to some advertisement on Sirius radio (wait, they have advertisements on “uninterrupted-Sirius radio??”, uh uuhh, no ma’am) and they were talking about some drink made with citrus vodka. We decided to try the same recipe with the new-found, amazing grape vodka. Here it is: take the juice of one fresh squeezed lemon, a tablespoon of sugar, a whole lot of grape vodka, and a splash of Chambord. Blend the ingredients with a lot of ice to make it all slushy and GOOD GOD, it’s freakin’ heaven!! Go try it. Right now.
