It was going to be a full house this weekend between her guests and Clint's, and so Kitty was on her best behavior. This maybe had something to do with the fact that she was a little uncomfortable around her so-called best friend these days, and also something to do with being limited on space and knowing people would be all over the house.

Illyana wasn't entirely comfortable, either, but she also wasn't about to let that show. When she came down, hearing someone in the kitchen, she stood for a moment before saying, "This is domestic."

"Yeah, weird things happened to me," Kitty admitted, looking over her shoulder. "There's coffee if you need."

Illyana ignored the coffee, and instead took a seat at the table. "You have a room full of computer equipment."

"Yeah. It ended up there when I moved in, and I haven't wanted to take over the rest of the house," Kitty explained. "We don't have guests a lot. Sorry."

"It's just very... you," Illyana noted.

"I do have a very hard time not being me," Kitty said lightly. "So... how are things? We didn't really talk much."

Because she wasn't exactly sure when Illyana was ever telling the truth anymore and she wasn't sure it was worth it.

"As well as you think."

Look, an honest answer!

"A lot of infighting and people being weird?" Kitty guessed.

"Something like that," Illyana nodded.

Kitty turned around to look at her finally, frowning. "Is that how it is now? I can't get real answers out of you ever?"

"Allow me to point out that you've been withholding yourself," Illyana said. "You don't exactly trust me."

"You haven't exactly been honest," Kitty countered.

Illyana just shrugged. It wasn't like there was a point in denying it, though Kitty hadn't seen the worst of it.

"Why'd you come here to see me?" she asked.

[grewupinhell]

"To see you, of course," Illyana replied easily. "To see if we couldn't smooth things over."

Also mostly true.

Kitty felt a little pang at that, even knowing that it might be said out of some weird manipulation thing. "How do you think that's working out?"
