25 Unicorn Street- early Monday morning

Nov 17, 2013 22:29

It took Kitty a moment after waking up to realize that she was the right age, that she was still sort of mad about Stiles' Cubs comments, and that she was sleeping on Clint's couch. She hadn't known where she was supposed to live when she was six, so he'd been nice enough to let her stay here. She got up and went to check the time since she had a ( Read more... )

It was a sign that being tiny really took a lot out of Clint that he didn't wake up when Kitty came in. A few minutes later, he poked his head out of the covers, hair askew, and sighed. He hadn't embarrassed himself as much this weekend as the last time he'd been a kid, and the fact that Kitty had been little too helped. Still, he felt weird right up until he saw the certificate. It was kind of hard to feel bad at all after that.

"Kitty?" he called loudly. It was that or actually get out of the bed to see if she was still here and... yeah, that wasn't going to happen yet.

Kitty had been just about to leave for her own place when she heard him, so she came back upstairs to poke her head through the wall. "Morning," she smiled.

"Morning," he said, smiling at her. "I didn't know boyfriending was a field. How are you doing this morning?"

"Surprisingly good," she said, coming all the way through the wall to sit next to him on the bed. "So you saw that, huh?"

"Now that I'm the right age I'm capable of reading," Clint said with a laugh. "I'm sorry you were stuck here for the weekend."

"Never be sorry about that," Kitty smiled. "It was way better than hanging out in my apartment by myself. Even if I probably did catch cooties from you."

"Yet again, it's girls who have the cooties, not boys," Clint said solemnly, reaching to put his hand on Kitty's leg. "That's how you manage to catch and ensnare us."

"Are you saying I ensnared you with cooties?" she asked, looking amused.

"I think that's a likely explanation," Clint said. "I did fall for you pretty hard. That could be an infection. A good one, but still."

"In that case, go cooties. Working in my favor," she laughed. "Too bad there's no cure."

"I'm kind of okay with that," Clint said with a smirk. "Do you want breakfast? Now you know I can cook a mean bowl of cereal." And hey, Lucky probably needed some actual dog food too while he was at it.

And then he could see Lucky's certificate all displayed!

"Sure. I've still got some time for you to be all domestic," she teased.

"Pancakes or something that involved actual cooking would be domestic," Clint said, getting out of bed with much less reluctance than he had a few minutes ago. "I bet your students will be sad they couldn't all stay tiny and just color or something in class."

"You're cooking my cereal, it counts," she said, getting up herself. "And if I hadn't just shown them a movie last week, I might've made them sit there and color. Mostly because I don't want to go in early enough to program the Danger Shop."

"I feel you. I always worried I was going to turn off the safety features or something and someone was going to lose a limb," Clint said, leading the way downstairs. When he got to the kitchen, he stopped when he saw the certificate for Lucky. "You are such a dork," he said fondly.

"No, what makes me a dork is that I'm pretty sure we can train him to know what that means when he looks at it," Kitty explained.
