no one ever really dies

when i told extasis that i was seeing N*E*R*D this past weekend, i said something like, "i hope that being in close proximity to pharrell's tinfoil transmission will re-set me as a person and i'll know what's what again." when i left the show last night, i definitely remembered why i liked pop music better when pharrell was running things and why i love crazy crowds full of people who are crazy about music. i've been feeling really out of sync with music lately (too many podcasts about nba basketball on my ipod, i guess), and this show felt like a 80-minute come to jesus meeting. if you are anywhere near any of this incredibly random smattering of tour dates, i would highly recommend it. anyway, pharrell williams is my cult leader valentine, my knit caps are lined with tinfoil only for him. so it was good to have that re-confirmed.

as soon as the little girl showed up on screen, sparkymonster said, "the little girl is cameron." i think the little girl is the turk? but i guess it could actually be both. also, i have been waiting since derek showed up for him to find out that he's john's uncle because i love that tortured star wars ethos bullshit. so i fucking loved the shit out of him revealing that he's known the whole time.
