so i am officially living in milwaukee. and surprisingly enough it hasn't been as hard to adjust to as i originally thought it would be. the house is coming together quite nicely and i really like the school. i have quite a hike to my classes considering my building is on the complete opposite side of campus but it is good exercise. i have also been having a lot of fun with my roomies. we all get along great and everyone has been pitching in when work needs to be done.
so yes, i'll admit it. i like it down there. i really like it down there. the thing is, however, i came home this weekend. and it made me realize that i never want to forget how much i LOVE it here. this weekend was amazing. friday night i went to fish with brittany daysha josh kyle and luke. nothing can beat the maple inn. then i went to a wedding with justin and allen and aleya and andy and luke were there. we had a great time. we all had some drinks and danced and didn't have a care in the world. saturday i headed to rubicon for the championship game. ate some cheese fries of course and hung out with my family. as i was about to leave i ran into tracey colten rick and tony. bad news right there. haha started drinking some beers had a shot or two and had an amazing time. thank goodness for daysha who picked me up from the ball diamond around 8 (i was in no condition to drive). we headed over to lukes for a fire. it was a smaller crowd but still consisted of most of the usuals. it was a good time. we went to bed rather earlier between 1 and 2 and i slept amazing in the "bomb shelter". haha. the next day we headed over to allens for some four wheeling and mudding. that's always a good time. after four wheeling we sat around and talked/relaxed and allen made sweet corn. it was at this point that i realized i never want to loose where i'm from. it means so much to me. after allens i headed over to my sisters for a cook out. she always has the best food. it was nice to see my family and hang out with them. i then went to visit my grandma at cedar lake homes. she seems happy there and that is the most important thing. she was so funny telling us about her lunch ladies and the annoying couple who talks in rhymes. after that i stopped out at andy's, then we went by ryan, party stock was going on by his neighbors. haha. we were listening to the bongos. only rick was brave enough to go down there. then danny convinced me and justin to go to the bars with him. we went to the oasis and i quickly became the designated driver. which is fine by me. of course we ended up shutting the place down. after jr broke the glass with his hand. God only knows how he managed that one. we went back to ryans and as we were pulling up we saw adam and a couple other people leaving party stock. of course danny wanted to start the fire up again. so i hung around for a bit, chatted with adam. gotta love that guy. and soon enough it was time for me to head out. i woke up this morning to a voicemail from tony which totally made my day. silly guy. haha.
and that was my weekend home. now i'm headed back to school. ugh i'm already sick of homework but i'm excited to spend more time in milwaukee.
and i'm out.
