It begins. Today I went without drugs, and it was fine. There was a moment of hesitation before I stepped on the bus, but I quieted it by promising myself a new bead for my nipple ring. It's nice to be able to spend money on things apart from drugs and cigarettes, even if you get ridiculously ripped off in the process. $9.20 for a metal ball about half the size of a tictac.

Anyways. So I spent the morning at school in meditation, which was actually an excellent start to the day. Followed that up with a great philisophical/theological conversation with someone Cari terms "the X-Man", who also offered me a smoke. Though quitting smoking is important, I doubt it'll happen before I get out of school, so I accepted.

During my spare, I worked on part IV of my Business summative, then accidentally closed the file without saving. Got pissed off and read up on Shaolin martial arts with Youssef.

Lunch was spent with Nikki, who has come back to Ottawa after dropping out of uni. Wasn't particularly eventful, but it was great to see her again. I love that fucking dyke. She and Celyn took off two-thirds of the way through lunch hour, and I spent the rest of the time with Leigh.

After arriving home, I ate a decent dinner (though I'm losing appetite, and that's a little alarming) and ACTUALLY DID MY MATH HOMEWORK. This is likely a direct result of the ancient Polish art of UNDERSTANDING HOW. I read a bit more of Faust, my current literary gem, and then went down to the gym to work out for the first time since my suspension ended. My physical abilities, as I suspected, have diminished over that time, but that is just all the more incentive for me to keep up sobriety.

Moral of the story? Without drugs, I'm a productive person.
