I would like to return to school - not to complete a degree but to take some classes. I'm not sure I really want to be a project manage - I don't really like Excel, or PowerPoint which all project management seems to involve at work. Spending hours on a presentation that someone might not look at or might only look at for five minutes seems pointless to me. Same thing with the endless reports that are produced at work. What's the point and why bother?
I need something to challange my mind - I like learning new things and right now I am bored at work and need something to simulate. I have to realize that the reason I have not pursued an MBA is that I am scared that it might not be best course for me. I would like to travel, I'd like at some point to make a difference in this world. I once thought of teaching - but I'm not sure how much I really like kids and don't have the language skills to teach in college. I'm the same person (thank goodness) that I was 17 years ago
I like the more physical nature of my job. I'm not that fond of sitting at a desk all day. What does a paralegal actually do? What does an account actually do? These questions I can answer just by contacting people at work and seeing if I can observe what they do during the day.
I realize I may not learn the answers in school - but a business law class and an accounting class sounds like fun to me. Something to give my mind some activity and some insight what I would like to do with my life.
