My body is starting to let me down. Fucking ear infection for a start.
Then i develop RSI, which is a bit of a pisser when your job essentially involves shitloads of typing.... and i can't play musical instruments wwithout grimacing in pain. We've a few gigs coming up, i think i'll wear a mask a la The Residents so as not to unnerve the audience with my contorted visage.
Had to see the doctor, who cheerfully told me that i must no longer do any heavy lifting (yayy!) as i will probably have a hernia before i'm 40 (boo!). However i do have to go to Archway Hospital to be screened for cancer. Not too worried about it, i'll worry if they tell me that i've got it however. Still, having cancer will be a fucker considering i went to all that effort of giving up smoking! =)
Anyway, does anyone know any synthesizer players who can replace me in Volunteer in May? Preferably female, (so they can be the indie Abba). This would be a permanant position. If i do return to the band after my travels, we'll have two synthists! Contact me at the usual address...
