Why I hate morning news shows.

Especially Fox News. Don't blame me, I didn't have any choice, that was the station on in the breakfast area (and I watch it once in a while to punish myself keep an eye on everything when I get into a news mood). For your amusement/annoyance:

1) They talked about North Korea and their nuclear tests and warnings to start a war if they felt threatened. The US stand was we will monitor but otherwise ignore them. This of course meant that the Obama administration was practicing brinksmanship and more failed policies and causing a potential nuclear war...

2) Cut to a story about how the Coast Guard cut off the search for a teenager who fell off a cruise ship on a trip from New Orleans to Key West. While talking about that "poor, poor boy", they flash a shot of a perfect example of the blond, blue-eyed soccer playing kid that makes Fox News look racist. NOTE: I am saddened that ANYONE ever falls off a boat and is lost at sea. I'm unhappy that only this one was seen as a great loss to America by the network...

3) Cut to a promo for tonight's news shows. To be discussed? The Sotomayor nomination and how she will be a reverse racist, liberal robblerobblerobble...

4) Return to the show talking about the $4,000 per person tax the Dems are proposing to fund energy plan. (yipes, I don't want to pay that much!) The Republican on the show being interviewed says basically, 'Their plan is terrible and taxes everyone. Our plan is much better, by the way we don't have a plan but we're working on one and it will be much better.'

To be fair (and balanced?) I can't stand watching a lot of the talking heads on MSNBC either, other than Rachel Maddow who I would marry if I could. Oh wait, I can since I'm not gonna look queer that way...
