well, I still think Barbie is annoying. ^_^

but you made a great job in turning her into a real person, and Teresa too. They feel realy... well, real. And it´s well written and sweet, and Teresa is a nice girl.

and you surely wins point for originality... I had never seen a fic about Barbie before -and a slash fic at that- wow.

ahahah. She's just made of plastic and air, don't hold it against her. ;)

Thank you so much! I'm so glad it worked for you. Teresa is a very sweet girl, she was always my favorite.

I can't even explain where this came from because I have NO IDEA AT ALL. It was just there and begging to be written. Though the whole "Barbie as a lesbian" thing isn't so weird to me as, when I was a wee girl, I always had more girl dolls than boy dolls so if I wanted weddings or for them to "do it tee hee" it was almost always girl-on-girl. I had a great childhood, little plastic lesbians all over. ::giggles::

i kind of loved my little plastic lesbians... except i almost never used barbie in those little acted-out fantasies. i used Midge a lot, i kind of had a little plastic crush on her. someone should write Midge/some other female doll that is amazing.

also i was thinking there should be A LOT of Rainbow Brite femslash and there isn't. prolly really good pairings would be Rainbow Brite/Patty O'Green, and Indigo/La La Orange. Especially the latter.

So if anyone wanted to write me that for my birthday on April 4th, and make it long anad amazing and fluffy anf GAH? I would kind of love them. and probably attempt to write them fic back.

or maybe just prostitute my body to them.

lkljasklj Aww! The need seeping off this comment is practically palpable. Poor thing.

The first Barbie doll I ever got was a Midge doll so I totally feel your crush. She was the best. She had FRECKLES! Who doesn't love freckles? hee. Midge girlslash would be the best thing ever. hmm.

I never watched Rainbow Brite -- I missed it by a few years, I think. So I can't help you there but, hey, maybe you'll get lucky and someone will see this and go "OH. MY. GOD. YES." I certainly hope they do, there's nothing worse than wanting fic and never, ever getting it. There is an offer of prostitution here, people, someone write this girl some Rainbow Brite girlslash, damn it!

OMG PLASTIC FRECKLES ARE TEH SECKS.

I mean...

Yes, I quite adored Midge's freckles. Midge was amazing. Also, do you remember Barbie's friend in a wheelchair? I think her name was... Becky, or something. I was like, Oh good thing Barbie is being non-discriminatory. They were all like, Look! We have black people! We have people with freckles. We have people in wheelchairs! None of them are as pretty as Barbie BUT WE HAVE THEM, GODDAMMIT!

I kind of collect old children's videos... it's my hobby. So I have all the old My Little Pony tapes, and a few Care Bears and Rainbow Brite, not to mention billions of Mother Goose tapes and the Wee Sing videos (I am kind of obsessed with nursery rhymes). So it doesn't matter if it was my time or not, if it's a children's video, I WANT IT.

Also you are kind of my new bff. I friended you. Check out some Rainbow Brite so we can give fannish squeals to the inherent girlslash that will then commence.

THEY SO TOTALLY ARE. NO ONE CAN RESIST THE PLASTIC DOTS OF HOT.

None of them are as pretty as Barbie BUT WE HAVE THEM, GODDAMMIT!

ahhahaasaljlksa;ksakj Oh, god, yes, that is exactly how it is. Barbie was always the blondest, prettiest, hugest-smiled of all. I remember that I had the "Asian" one and she was JUST LIKE BARBIE except had little tits. wtf. That always messed me up. Same height, same big ass head, tiny, tiny little boobies.

Holy shit, that is the coolest hobby! Seriously! The closest I've ever been to having a hobby is fandom but, man, now I want to start collecting kid's videos.

ahaha, am I? AWESOME. I know I've seen at least part of Rainbow Brite and the Star Stealer but, yes, omg, how can I resist the squealing? AND THE GIRLSLASH? I cannot. I am but one woman, damn it.

Oh, awesome! First, because it's BARBIE slash, and second and just as importantly, because it's lovely and sweet. I'm reccing this in my lj, if you don't mind.

here via daemonluna's post...

This is just brilliant!! And not just the concept (which is beyond brilliant), but you've written it perfectly. Just like Barbie herself. It had to be written from the POV of an adoring friend who's not quite as perfect as Barbie and so perfect and 'normal' herself that she doesn't even have a word for what she's feeling.

can you tell I loved this? I loved that it's so human and full of emotion, but when I read lines like this And Barbie just looks at her a minute, smiling her brilliant, white-toothed smile and says that she's not upset because there's nothing to be sad about.
I see Barbie's plastic face with her fixed-in-place smile and it's still so real. LMAO.

aahaha. Oh, goodness, thank you, I think my ego might explode from this comment. AHEM. I'm so glad you enjoyed it. It was one of those things that just came out of nowhere but had to be written. I really tried to keep that underlying "dude, they're dolls" vibe going through the whole thing. But, at the same time, it was important to keep the emotion because flat-out parody seemed too obvious.
