This novella with pairings I've not really written before all started with a prompt from risiepookie. Many of you know that I'm drawn to threesomes, and this story explores that realm with its rather complex dynamics, especially considering the characters in this. Here's the summary and a few notes:

I really enjoyed this; it's a fairly dark but not at all despairing take on Seamus, so far. Less description/adjectives than you sometimes go for and that's working well for me in this fic. The actions and conversation are conveying what's going on very well without additional description.

Yay for future threesome (you know I'm fond of polyfic too) and Fred/Seamus/Dean is a VERY interesting (and certainly most unusual) triad. *g*

And yay for threesomes and polyfic!! These three are a very interesting and unusual grouping, but it keeps even me guessing, so that's probably a plus! Glad you're here at the beginning, and hopefully it'll be interesting enough to keep you along.

So glad you're posting this...I've adored having you read it to me over the past few weeks...such a wonderful, deep, rich tapestry! I'm honoured to have been able to enjoy the fic so!

And for once, I actually recognize the work from which your title comes! Drummer Hodge from Hardy, which is mentioned in HISTORY BOYS! Beautiful choice!

Says who? And you can fanboy me all you want, lol. I really am so indebted to you for letting me read aloud; without me bending your ear for hours I think I'd still be stuck with Seamus and Fred talking in Wheezes!!

That title is all thanks to you sending me "The History Boys." I was so captivated by that scene I had to look up the poem and that one phrase really struck me. It all circles back to you, luv!

Oh, well thank you! I hope that you do. There's a distinct lack of estrogen, but hopefully the tale and characterizations will keep you drawn in. :)

Fair enough, m'dear! I'm not a huge fan of WsIP either, but given the other stuff going on in RL, figured I'd post in sections and keep myself motivated as I go along. I'll let you know when it's all done. :)

Thanks much! I, too, will be intrigued to see how the Fred/Seamus part plays out; haven't gotten there quite yet in the fic, but it's bound to be pretty intense. Glad that you find Seamus appealing, and it is pretty odd interesting to write about H/R but it be through someone else's perspective!!
