Free-ish long distance

I've signed up for Jajah, which is a low-cost VoIP program. Get this, though -- between callers with Jajah accounts, as long as you stick to a voluntary fair-use policy (i.e. don't make several calls for several hours a day, every day) and both parties are in a list of 42 countries, it's free as in free beer.

Even the paid calling rates are usually super-cheap, and there's zero committment to keep it, and no software to download or hardware to buy. You log in to Jajah via your browser, you type in your phone number, you type in the phone number of the person you're going to call... and Jajah sets up the rest.

This means I can call my dad in Barrie, those friends of mine who scattered across the country, and even Dan & Eve in Australia.

...keen!
