First of all, I just watched the Lake Laogai episode of Avatar, the one that actually airs this coming Friday... anyway. HO. LY. CRAP! I thought my head was going to explode by the end of it. When TurboNick decided that it was actually going to work for me the second time around, I screamed. Aloud. Rather loudly. I then proceeded to giggle, gasp, and cry my way through the rest of the episode.
JET. OMG. People keep trying to say that he's still alive, but I don't think so. I don't know WHY Katara walked away when she would have been able to heal him, but she did. People keep saying, "Oh, he was only hit in the face with a rock, and he's really close to a city full of people where he could be healed." Um, no. No. That Dai Li wouldn't allow it, for one; second, Toph's comment of, "He's lying" is pretty much the cincher. Jet, Smellerbee, and Longshot's stories are over and Jet is lying on the ground dying. The Jetara fans are pissed. XD But Zuko's going to get really sick in the next couple of episodes and have a "spiritual crisis," so I'll be interested to see if that's what makes Zuko join the Aang Gang. You know he will. If they cut him from the show, rabid fangirls would storm Nick and lynch the creators. XD
IROH WINS THE INTERNETS. If I loved him before, that has tripled now. He finally verbally slapped Zuko. He was yelling, and for good reason, too. Even better, Iroh's words finally got through to Zuko. Zuko's dropping his Blue Spirit mask into the water was great. Zuko has finally given up his quest to capture the Avatar-- not like anything good would come of it anymore, anyway.
But Zuko had Jet hair. It was scary. I've already decided that Jet wants Zuko, but maybe it goes the other way, too...? XDD
No Jin in this one. I don't really mind. XD I mean, she's so sweet and adorable and cute that I just have to hate her. Besides, I don't think Iroh's going to be making his tea shop in Ba Sing Se... at least, Zuko won't be there with him. GASP! You don't think this is their way of writing Iroh out of the series? He's done his job; Zuko is nearly reformed, and Iroh is happy in Ba Sing Se. OH NOES! Aang needs a firebending teacher, though... but though I can't see Zukkie teaching him, as he hasn't mastered Firebending himself yet, I never really got the feeling that Iroh would be teaching Aang, either. IROH, DON'T GO! T_T
APPA'S BACK! There were literally tears in my eyes as he came back to Aang. So cute! Poor Appa! Poor Aang! But... where the hell is the Aang Gang going? o.O They flew off on Appa, but... where? Are they going back to Ba Sing Se to kick some Long Feng ass? He needs it! XD But I must say, the Joo Dee Factory was absolutely hillarious. XD
On to other news, NANO IS IN THREE DAYS.
Kyran still has no last name (heck, I have two societies that haven't been fleshed out at ALL, much less given naming systems), I have no idea what's going to happen other than, oh, a grand total of THREE plot points, I still haven't figured out exactly how Illya's going to act or whether she actually gets her memory back or not, and other than being there and having some motivation, the Emperor is nameless and faceless.
The only upside is that I've figured out a little bit about InsertNameHere's character. For the past two weeks or so, whenever I thought a bit about the novel, I kept getting the feeling that there was another character there that I needed. Finally I was sitting outside on the Plaza attempting to plot a little and, for the first time in my life, I realized there was a character sitting there staring at me. Well, he was grinning, really. I had no idea who or what he was beyond the fact that he was indeed a "he," so I proceeded to write a little one-way dialogue from me to him. All I got out of it was some hints as to who he was and why he was there. Pretty much all I knew was that he was going to join Kyran and Illya, he was important to the plot but not massively important, and he had some sort of connection to Adamian. Two days later, to avoid dying of boredom in Into. to Emo, I started talking to him again. I could kiss him, really. XD Because of him, I figured out his connection to both Kyran and Adamian, have another little reason to push Kyran and Illya on their way across the sea to Country the Second, and I know what the demons are and what Adamian's hold over them is. Seriously, he is my hero. XD
However, I still have no idea what the hell what to actually write. I mean, I do, I just need massive amounts of help in getting from Uber Plot Point A to Uber Plot Point B. Heck, I need help getting to Uber Plot Point A in the first place.
All I can say is, unless I get a LOT of planning done between now and Wednesday (doubtful-- between my Japanese skit on Wed. [*dies*] and FFXII coming out on Tuesday [why, God, WHY?], nothing is going to get done), I am in some deep doo-doo, at least until I can manage to get myself rolling. I suppose all I can ask is that magic like what happened last year will happen again and I'll just start writing and things will magically come to me as I type.
I think I should start praying. XD
Funny story, I told my roommate that I was doing Nano again and explained the whole thing to her and she had a priceless look on her face, one of those blank amazement faces as she tried to comprehend the whole thing. She was so impressed then that when we went to Hell-Mart a few minutes later she not only told everyone in the hallway that I write novels, but called a full four members of her family/friends to inform them, too. It was a little out of control. XD
