In which she has no words to describe anything athe friggin' moment...

Needless to say, last night's Weird Al concert was by far, the best night of my life up to this point. There were 'ALTV' segments, UHF clips, the clip of him (and the band) on 'The Simpsons', liek, at least 10 costume changes, and OMg, the music. I screamed, I sang, I squeed. (Proud to say that I was one of (very) few people that was able to sing along with the Yoda Chant. Because I kick ass!)

The only disappointments I have are:
1) He didn't do 'Hardware Store' or 'Bedrock Anthem', which are liek, two of my all time favourite Al songs.
2) The people at the venue were bitching about cameras and crap, so I couldn't take any pics, (especially since, being in the second row, the security guards were right there).
3) The opening act (a comedian) sucked.
4) The show itself was only about two and a half hours long, (which I here is quite lengthy for an Al show).
5) They threw us out before the meet and greet. (Asshats.)

All in all, it was very well worth the 40+ bucks I spent to get the seat. *[heart]s Al, Jim(!), Tony, Jon, and Ruben ("the keyboard player") even more because she was this close to them*

Now, what they played . . . If I remember correctly, they did the 'Angry White Boy Polka'; 'Trash Day'; 'Couch Potato'; 'A Complicated Song'; 'Dog Eat Dog'; 'Amish Paradise'; 'Fat' (complete with the Fat-suit); 'All About the Pentiums' (whose video, sad to say, he looks quite hot in); 'One More Minute' (in which he came down off the stage); 'Wanna B Ur Lovr' (also came off the stage, and sang with Larry); 'Melanie'; 'Party at the Leper Colony'; 'Smells Like Nirvana'; 'Money For Nothing/Beverly Hillbillies'; 'Your Horoscope For Today'; a medley containing 'Gump', 'Eat It', 'Theme from Rocky XIII', 'Ode To A Superhero', 'Ebay', 'Pretty Fly For A Rabbi', 'Jerry Springer', 'Jurassic Park', 'Lasagna', 'My Bologna', and a few others. The show was also dedicated to his parents.

And then came the finales. The band all changed into their jedi robes, (minus Ruben, who being the cool guy he is was dressed as Palpatine), blasted 'Carmina Burana' over the speakers, and then (OMG), the did 'The Saga Begins'. And then (oh, joy of joys!), 'Yoda', during which they broke into the Yoda Chant, after which they went back to 'Yoda' and basically killed the audience with their powers of Geekitude.

OMG. I was there, and liek, he was there, too. He sang to/with Larry. He was liek, two feet away from me. And we made eye contact! More than once! And, (OMG), he pointed at me!

Boinked from _br0kenhearted:

Back to the entry...

After the concert, all eleven of us (me, Larry, Christina, Bret, Chris, Chris 2, Matt, Juan, Chris' mom, Chris' little sister, and Chris' little brother) piled into the cars and headed home, where us older kids went out to a 24 hour diner (it was now near eleven p.m.) for crap. Which means I got home at around one thirty. And I have to work today.

>.<

So, yes. I've decided that I am going to win the lottery (or move to a state that plays PowerBall), buy an RV, kidnap cee_loves_viggo, and the two of us are going to become Al groupies. That would be teh life.

[Edit: Oh, and guess who was in the audience! Victoria Jackson, of SNL and UHF fame, (she played George's (Al's) girlfriend, Terri). (Does UHF constitute itself as fame?) Talk about geek-to-the-max. Of course, I wasn't too surprised, since she goes to my church and everything, but I guess seeing everybody else' reaction was enough to make me all giddy.]
