(no subject)
not that anyone really cares but i thought i should share/update my situation with my biological brother.
he imed me last night, said he wasn't the person i was looking for, and that our mothers weren't the same.
i told him the facts i knew...and he said ok and that he'd talk to his mom today.
today, my birthmother sent me an email:
Hi Todd:
This is Denise. Yes your birthmother. First of all please let me explain to you why you were given up for adoption. Not for lack of love, because it was the hardest thing for me to do. Financially, I was not able to take care of you both. I also was not in the best mental capacity to raise another child. My hope was that you were able to grow up with a fine family who would be able to give you the things I could not. Robin did not know about you, but I am more than happy that he does now. We can talk about so many things when, or if you decide you want to. I would more than anything want to talk with you and meet with you when you feel it is appropriate. I am totally shocked right now, but not in a bad way. I would more than anything like to meet you and get to know you. However; I know that I could never take the place of the people who raised you. I am extremely happy that you were raised right and also that you are now attending college. Robin has grown up to be a wonderful and compassionate person. I believe if you two met, you would have a good relationship. Robin is your half brother. I will await your response. If you decide not to respond, I will understand. The best to you. Denise
SOOOOO....this is good news. not only did she acknowledge me, but she seems pretty thrilled/excited/happy about it.
and i'm gonna write back to her at some point but idk what exactly to say cause there are soooo many things i wanna make sure i get through to her.
and i'm glad to finally be able to confirm that i have a brother.
robin said that he always wanted a brother...and now we're like..kind of brothers.
i can't imagine what its like for either of them...for robin to find out his mother has another child...and for my birthmother to find out i'm alive and reaching out.
anyways...
thought i should share cause...its quite an interesting thing to go through.
small update::r****ier (9:00:09 PM): i just want u to no that i am really happy that u found me, and i will always be here for u. i really hope we can become friends but only if u want..
