we all know my position on it. Ideally I'd like to expend less feeling on it, but its just pure hate driven stuff and it greatly upsets me.
A guy on huffpost posted a great op piece - "No more talk on gay marriage until an adulterer is executed" which talks about picking & choosing what to follow in the bible. Adulterers are supposed to be executed, yet there is no outcry about that (or about Red Lobster). sigh. Lousy hate filled biggots. As long as they are not causing you harm don't worry about that they are doing. sheesh.
http://www.huffingtonpost.com/cenk-uygur/not-another-word-on-gay-m_b_152282.html Paulson's looking for his other $300b because the first $250b did a heckuva job fixing the economy. Assholes, they are not even trying to pretend nowadays. If you want to understand how it is all a scam - I recommend watching Zeitgeist 2: Addendum (its a free movie) the first part of it explains very well how the federal reserve works. It'll make your head explode and then anger you realizing how its all just a scam. Sigh.
Tankless hot water is not really an option for me. For the electrical route I'd need to upgrade my electrical service as the one I'd need would take between 120-150amps, which doesn't leave many amps leftover and I still have a few high draw items. I have 200amp service right now. For the gas route they'd need to take another feed off the meter and run that in which would be more costly than the current upgrade plan. The main thing is that the line coming in cannot carry enough gas for one - they use a CRAZY amount of gas, but they sort of need to raise the water temp that much in that short of time. So, we're replacing the electric tank with a power vented gas fired tank. Seems to be the best bet. Had a nice chat about options wit the guys doing the install. Tankless is fantastic, but retrofitting it in is usually an act of futility, or the upfront costs are so high you'll never recoup the cost (assuming you are doing it for cost reasons, and not green reasons).
Xmas eve at Ellens.. Xmas day here, having the whole north eastern family over. Should be nice. We're having a turkey and a ham. I'm going to be torn as to what to consume!
Got Paula an early xmas gift (actually, gave her the option for now or xmas). Its a nice romantic new microwave. I went all out and got a fancy pants one. Its huge. 1.5 cubic feet and it has a convection oven in it as well. (it can actually combine the microwave and convection features... ) as well as that new sensor technology to detect when shit is cooked.
Lots of snow... going to go snowblow in an hour or two.. snow should be done by then. Luckly I got some gas yesterday. Lots of stuff going on at work.. lot of work to get done.. they keep coming up with new ideas we need to get out the door. The last thing I built is one of the few things I said to myself "damn, this actually is pretty cool". We've got some other stuff I want to work on - speeding up a new big thing,b ut I doubt I'll get much time for that. Thats one thing I love doing - taking something that runs like hell and analysing whats going on, making it faster. I don't know why, but I just love doing that. I'm rather good at it too. A least I am for db/web apps which is my area of expertise. There is something wholesome about taking something that takes a few minutes to run and changing it around to run in a few ms
thank-you that is all.
