Holy God, this may get long. :(

For a chick with no real past beyond five years ago or so, T sure does tangle what little she remembers up with the present! Because of this, her relationship with Chas is both reminiscent of something old, and very new. She frequently gets the impression that, while he's got his fair share of fucked-uppery (hello, dude used to torture and murder folks a lot), he'd like to save her from herself and her powers -- some of this is projection, because she certainly wishes, occasionally, someone would rescue her from wanting to be around death the way she does. However, their mock power struggles are really, for her, genuinely playful -- this is, all things considered, a very equal relationship, which is nice ( ... )

Chas sort of dives headlong into everything except relationships, so this is kind of New Territory for him.

Yeah, he's a... pretty damn damaged guy, really. I think I've mentioned the whole compartmentalizing he does. All of the bad, violent shit kind of has to be separated for fear it'll bleed into the good bits, and so forth. Anyway!

Baby-stuff doesn't really make him that uncomfortable, oddly, but Nate definitely does. He's not too keen on the thought that she might be comparing the two.

The whole deal with the General, man. It tore him apart. I think the whole insta-attachment has something to do with all of that stress during the General thing, idk. It was one of those "it just... happened" things, I guess. It's really, really unlikely he'll get bored with her, not that he's going to turn down sex. He's insanely attached - hence the, uh, rarterritorial from a guy who normally wouldn't have paid it any mind.

Also, WORDS. I hope they stay together, too, because the compatible-crazy is <3. ilit too ( ... )

Sadly, she is totally comparing the two, but Chas tends to come out on top pretty uniformly. In part because she's so, so bitter about Nate, which is really not that much Nate's fault. It just turned out so badly, and she's terrified the same thing will happen with Chas.

Haha the rarterritorial stuff...she doesn't enjoy it, but she doesn't mind it -- in a way, it's proof he cares. Which is...so very healthy of her, innit.

Also I should've mentioned this: the whole 'everyone beats up on Chas' thing is NOT okay with her beyond the playful stuff. It really bothered her that he excused her drunk flailing when they were fighting. Part of her assumes it's because a) she's a woman and b) a woman who is not exactly physically imposing, particularly compared to a 6'1" guy with superstrength of a sort. But it still bugs her, because he hearts him. :3 She's awfully protective of the guy.

CHAS AND HIS INFERIORITY COMPLEX. Yeah, he's paranoid about that, just a bit.

Well they are CLEARLY both incredibly healthy people, so that makes sense.

Ha, he's used to taking a certain amount of abuse - the playful stuff, like with Ginger or Mack and from years of being around werewolves and other Nuwisha. He's also... uh, a bit too used to taking a certain amount of serious damage, which is all sorts of Not Good. He won't take it laying down, sure, but he almost expects it. Aw, he appreciates the protectiveness and he hearts her a ridiculous amount. He's just not particularly used to someone trying to protect him, so that's a big, new thing.

Theeeey should discuss it, because ex (if Nate can be called a proper ex) etiquette is a new one on her.

hahaha both of them need so much therapy ._.

She sees a huge difference between the playing or sparring, and the striking someone out of anger, really. At some point she will probably get herself hurt trying to protect him, and...that will be a day, because previously in her life she was mainly about saving her own skin.

They should, definitely. His exes - well, she's already got a bit of a taste of it with the whole story about Sarah Redfern. Lots of his relationships with weres have ended violently, simply because weres are such violent things by nature.

They so, so do.

Yeah, Chas sees a difference, too, but he's lived in a world that's so "violence = everything" that he can't quite get his head around the concept that most people don't see things like that. His whole identity, being Nuwisha, is so centered on violence - fighting for Gaia and Coyote, true - that he can't really imagine life as any different. I think that's kind of a thing with most WoD were-creatures, though.

Aw, T. Yeah, that'll hit Chas pretty hard, because he's pretty dead-set that it'd be him getting hurt, not her. Which... kind of goes back to the assumption he has that he's not going to live to old age, mostly because of his lifestyle, and that's a huge kettle of werefish in itself.

Oh, Lord, she wants to hurt those women -- were-nature or no, it's just so fucking unacceptable in T's books to incorporate violence that way into a relationship.

In a way, I think that if it were just...impersonal violence, she'd get it a lot better, because vigilante stuff does happen in her world. Frequently.

See, she views it as, "you threw yourself into the line of fire for me, with Ginger and all, I have to do the same because I'm your girl." Aaaaand hahaha indeed; she does not approve of him dying young (or...at all). B|

It is really fucked up, yeah, unfortunately his world pretty much is just pest described as "fucked up."

It's weird, but he thinks it'd probably be better if he had the whole Rage deal, because then the violence wouldn't be quite so personal. Not that Rage would be a huge improvement (uh, accidentally mauling/eating family members, hi), but that's the way he sees it. His violence doesn't really come from some Righteous Fury from a goddess, and even though Coyote aren't exactly calm, peaceful creatures, he's gone beyond the pale with it a couple times. Like he said: he's got Wrath issues.

He's all "Well it's what I'm SUPPOSED TO DO, damnit B|" about it. He kind of acts (though doesn't really think about it) like if he sacrifices himself enough, maybe it might kind of make up for all the shit he's done over the years. Weres tend to die early and messily, with the exception of a rare few. He sees it less of an "I want to die young" thing and more of an "inevitable thing."

lol just pest DON'T HIT ME ilu and our goofy 6 AM typos.

See Thren doesn't want to get eaten next time they fight (aaand they will), so she's........glad. Also, I think supernatural rage, while dangerous and fucked up, is harder to deal with psychologically. T would probably say that just plain being angry and, yes, wrathful, at least they can deal with that. Ginger's rage was nigh-impossible.

HAHA yeah um she's going to chain him to the bed if he takes any more on, it is getting ridiculous and she's impatient with the concept of martyring. She also doesn't get this "supposed to do" shit, she'd say he's supposed to just be her boyfriend and continue having ridiculous tattoos.

fhahaha, where the hell did that one come from, anyway. "B" and "P" are nowhere near each other on my keyboard.

True, that. Chas's just got a very odd perspective on the whole thing, probably because he's fairly sure there's no changing him. He's been /trying/ to work on that lately, but it's going to be a slow process.

It might be a good idea, ffs. It's always been either "me > everything else" or "everything else > me" with him. Balancing that isn't anything he's ever had any experience with. Which is why it's a good thing T is fairly "no, wtf B|" about the whole thing.

icoooooooon.

Yeah, T is stubborn and also pushy, so that will either help matters a lot or make it 200% worse. either way, that is how she rolls, sir.

POSSIBLY this could all be discussed tomorrow post-sparring y/n?
