Oh snap, I remember The Neeblers. They had that track Neeble Neeble back in the 70's. The one that started the riot in Chicago.

Everyone said that their New Wave phase in the 80's was too commercial, but I thought it yielded some good material. You can't deny that Neeble my Neeb was classic.

And then there was their ill-fated Gangsta Rap experiment. While Neeble This, Beeyotch had its share of hits, I still think it damaged their reputation, and soured the tastes of many true fans.

I've been hearing rumblings about a reunion tour. I'm curious to see how they'll sound, since their flautist died in that tragic zoo accident in '97.

In Alan Mendelsohn, the Boy from Mars, the main character, Leonard Neeble, describes himself: "I am a short, portly kid, and I wear glasses." Appearance causes a problem for Neeble since the kids at his new school judge each other based on looks, and are all tall and blond with suntans.
