or There and Back Again, a Daniel's Tale
Well, a quick update as the internet location points are not as copious or as cheap as I once thought (the always open spot in my hostel is 5 euro per hour... there's a place a few blocks away... it's kinda shady though and likely not open today). I already have gifts for people and some Dolce and Gabana undies for me (joking joking... why must I always type thigs you all can never unsee, right?).
Well my first experience in Milan was after I stepped out of the Central Station... I had no idea where the hell I was and it was raining (I didn't bring a coat or an umbrella - smart, right?) Well, I ducked into this little cafe, walked up o the counter and said "parli Inglese?" The guy behind the counter put on this scared, deer-caught-in-headlights look so I quickly followed it up with a defensive "oh sorry, espresso, espresso." After a delicious espresso, and a few hours of walking in the rain, I finally asked for directions back at the station and eventually got o th metro, found my stop, wondered aimlessly for the hostel which I found two very wet hours later. I have no sense of direction, clearly, but getting lost and forcing myself to ind my way back does wonders for figuring out where I am and, needles to say, I haven't had any problems sense.
Milan... cute boys, hot asses, and everyone pretty, even the ugly ones. It's fantastic and I'd love to stop by again on ym way out of the country. Tomorrow I leave for San Remo, a place that's barely on any map so my guess is the internet will not easily be found. Right now I'm taking a break from shopping and walking around the Duomo and Castello Sforzesco. Apparently today is some form of hilday so very little is open, but I had the most AMAZING coconut gelato... and I don't even like coconut (it just looked the most refreshing heh). I plan on going back later this afternoon-evening for some beautiful pictures of Milan at night. Now if only there were a way could photo-dump my digi-cam pics...
