a few thoughts before I depart...
Well it definitely hasn't hit yet that I'll be in Europe for the summer (I expect the epiphany sometime tomorrow on the plane but whatever...)
So I've been wanting to write a review of Shear Genius, but I think that would be boring, as most of you watch it. Personally, I love it and that is quite counterintuitive to my original expectations of not only this show but also top design. Ah, Bravo has provided us with quite a few "reality" game shows but these two were very interesting. An interior design game show, and a hair cutting game show. Personally, I felt the latter's theme was rather thin, and certainly if every other HGTV show is basically an interior design game show, Bravo could make it work too, right? It turns out I was quite incorrect... Top Design was, for me, rather difficult to sit through and not nearly as interesting as I had hoped/expected, whereas Shear Genius was incredibly interesting, I mean really, I seriously didn't think that much could be done with hair, but there you go.
I'm currently watching the finale and loving the results, though I still wish Tabitha hadn't been eliminated as she definitely deserved Ben's place...
So yeah me, Milan, tomorrow... I hope I didn't forget anything, although I remember the names of most of my items in Italian. I have magazines and probably a gameboy for the trip, hopefully that will be enough, although I've had plenty of practice, this last semester, sitting on my ass. I'll update when I can via lj and facebook. Oh and be on the lookout for a facebook note later on in my trip/when I get back. My cell phone is getting turned off and I'm getting a new cell/number when I return...
