Ahoy!
I should really probably post this on Tumblr, because that's where people are actually going to read it and stuff, buuuttttt it just reads to me so much more like an LJ post, y'know? Funny how Tumblr is actually supposed to be "a blog" and yet I dislike so strongly actually posting on it like one. BUT UM ANYWAY! You may have noticed I've been oddly absent from the internet since like Friday and it is because I have been doing such awesome things!!!!
+ Went to Winchester to have my ass a birthday party! vocalcannibal ended up not being able to come because Toys R Us is dicks, which was kind of heartbreaking, but we managed to get along without her just me, tentacle, rktikfox and Molly. We got some greasy-ass alfredo pizza and Molly made me a cake with a ROCKET ON IT OMG IT WAS SO KAWAII AND I GOT TO KEEP THE ROCKET WHEEEE and then since Molly and Jessi still hadn't seen it almost a year later, I made everyone watch Starship. We're now all in love with February for some reason so it's almost like Kristen was there after all. Then Jessi had to leave but Molly and Avery spent the night and we stayed up late talking about serious real-life shit in this great cathartic way that I haven't been able to do with my peers in MONTHS which was *______* and then in the morning we had a big spooning train because Molly was really cold and then ate poptarts and more cake and more pizza and were gay and it was wonderful.
+ Legitimate bros-time in Lynchburg!! Guys, for the first time in like, recorded history, I have a lot of friends who actually care about me as friends who are dudes. This is so surreal to me but in such a beautiful awesome feelings-inducing way because I've always kind of felt "too girly" to really fit in with a group of guys in the ways that Avery or some of my other friends can, and to be accepted into this circle regardless of all that, or the fact that a lot of our interests are fairly different/don't overlap, or the fact that they've all known each other since middle school and I just started legitimately hanging with them about a month ago...this is just fucking blowing my mind. And since Avery's in town she's been there too and it's just been SO NICE AUGH like all this stuff:
---> went out for drinks and food, then went back to Peter's house to drink more. Things I'm slowly discovering: It's really hard to get me intoxicated! I had at least three shooters at the restaurant and a beer back at Peter's and nothing. Avery meanwhile was really silly and falling all over the place, Peter was getting loud and Scottish, and Rob frew up. :(
---> made everyone come to Catalano's with me because they wanted to treat Avery to gelato as a thank-you for her cosplay help. DELICIOUS SANDWICHES. and then we went to the park and played on the swings and got crept on by a swinging sperg which was so weird aaahahhahaha.
---> And then went to the movies! We were gonna see John Carter but Jesse couldn't go because he had to work and we didn't want to go without him so we did the dollar theatre and saw The Muppets again (except for Avery who hadn't seen it yet). I had Rainbow Connection feels all over the place and it was gross and also my hand fell asleep because of reasons.
---> reasons. They happened for like two seconds and then were canceled but man it is so nice to a) be appreciated for once in my fucking life and b) handle awkward situations in an ADULT MANNER, FOR ONCE IN MY LIFE rather than having to deal with other people being babies and pussies. gawwwddd. so that was most certainly a thing. it was hard for about 12 hours and then fixed its ass and now we're back to normal and god I just love having chill people in my life. against my better judgment I have not given up hope for the future on this one oops. keepin' my eye out anywayz.
---> Indian foooooooddd!!!! We made Jesse try new things because he's bad at that and he didn't hate them and we were like see yes! And omg it's so funny to hang out with all these dudes from JF because they know all the weird people I tangentially know from JF like my homosex "boyfriend" from 8th/9th grade and this funny kid I went to college with. STORIES.
---> Then Avery and I worked on some doofy cosplay shit and also her mom took us out and treated me to sushi and ice cream!!
+ IT'S FUCKING SPRINGTIME. The weather is sooooo unbelievably nice I can't STAND it. And also, I made my ass do some pretty great spring cleaning in my room! I sent 2 big bags of stuff to Goodwill, a slightly less huge one to the garbage, and another smaller one to Amanda's drive she's doing to collect used "professional"/work clothes. Made room for some cute new stuff I got, like YELLOW SKINNY JEANS (!!!) and my Monkey Island t-shirt I ordered from England that just got here two days ago and eeeeeee.
SO LIKE HOW AWESOME HAVE THE PAST FIVE DAYS BEEN, HONESTLY. I've gotten cake and ice cream and all kinds of delicious food, sometimes without having to pay for it; I have actual friends within a short driving distance again, and they are boys; the daffodils are popping up everywhere and like injecting happiness straight into my fucking heart; and for a little over an hour, I got to have a boy holding my hand. :)
Next challenge: Manage to not get cripplingly depressed when the magic ends, because Avery's going home today and I still don't have a job.
BUT WAIT, CAN'T EVEN BE UPSET BECAUSE GABI IS COMING TO VISIT ON FRIDAY~~~
