A student in my class died on Thursday, November 30th in 2006 as a result of dismissing a stop sign and was struck by another car as he was on his way to school. Dean died on scene and his passenger, his girlfriend, Kaitlyn is in the hospital in the ICU. Dean was amazing; he was friendly and intelligent and had so much in front of him. Although Kaitlyn is going to make it she will never, ever, be the same. No one or their family and friends should go through this. Please drive carefully; don't ever say it won't happen to you because it can happen to anyone. [/public service announcement]
