Other than being a TOTAL LOSER for not posting for a good three weeks, I am also quite sleepy.

In other news, a whole crapload of things happened during my hiatus.  Graduation, emotional breakdown, home-coming, Thailand, elephants, emotional breakdown, gained weight, tanning.... to name a few.

I came back from Thailand two days ago.  It was beautiful, sweltering hot and luxurious.  We got this really really good deal using my mom's vacation plan which allowed us to stay at the Marriott's newly built vacation club's double suite for a week for a mere $700.  And I'm telling you - this room came with 2 king bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a friggen jacuzzi, kitchen, washer, dryer, balcony, incredible lighting, art and furniture, and a Bravia TV for every room (3 in total)!!  Ya, amazing.  Plus amazing pool and restaurants and gyms and beach and all.  I felt like a celebrity.

So during our week, we went snorkeling for a day at Phi Phi island where they filmed Jurrasic Park, James Bond and the Beach, and we went to some temples, shopped, bargained, read a lot, and rode elephants!  I liked the elephant part, especially where the one I was riding (bareback) ate a friggen tree!!

But my favorite thing about Thailand is the people.  They are all so sincere and you can't go five paces without being greeted with a heartfelt smile and a "Sawa-dikkah."  Their kindness is absolutely pure.

So I came back and I've been hanging out with a bunch of my SUA friends who are here, including Kenji.  I went out to Roppongi two nights in a row, first for dinner with Kenji, and the second with about 10 of us to go clubbing - didn't turn out so great, as the place was pretty empty and uneventful.  I saw a bunch of ASIJers tho, like Remy, Suzzie Masser, Kristin Wetzel, Jason Cook, Brendan Forster and such... But my friend Yuko fell ill pretty quickly and we ended up treating her the whole night.  Regardless, it was good to bond with each other and have a row with a wasted American woman who without reason began insulting us at McDonalds.  It was quite entertaining really.

And today was my mother's 50th birthday!!  So my parents, Kenji and I went out for dinner at Kichijoji.  We were supposed to go to this dashing Japanese restaurant in Takao where apparently they bring your food to your hut in boats but our car overheated and stopped so we had to change plans.  Anyway, it was fun having Kenji and my parents together for the first time and they like him a lot so that's all the better.

The bed summons me so I shall depart though hopefully not for long.
