I've been away. From livejournal, as well as my bed. This week summed into two words is sleep deprivation. I'm really confused and I blame it all on this new guy in town, who goes by the name of Senioritis. Damn him.
I'm set for college. I'm basically there already! Went as a guest to the Orientation for Soka University in Japan on Monday, and ended up on the newspaper on Wednesday's issue as one of the 17 students going to SUA. :D I was hella nervous on Monday - I actually lost an appetite the whole day! Incredible. I should try getting nervous more often.
Had lots of tests this week, too, which I lacked motivation to do well on. But again, senioritis allows me to cast it off with a simple oh wellll.
Sad news this week: SNOW PATROL CANCELLED!! Dx (they postponed from Feb to April, but now they just decided not to come!) If I didn't love them so much, I'd be furious.
At some point this week, I had artist's block.
On more recent events, I celebrated
therabbitsaid's birthday on Friday night! She's now eighteen!! Hurray! :D I got to catch up with a bunch of people I had lost touch with in the past few months, and I also got a glimpse of Morgan Flannery's silly side. Thank you Jess for a wonderful evening, for some excellent food, and for being born!
Saturday morning was rehearsal. The musical is probably getting along well, though I wish I could see the ensamble seens from the house to get an idea of how clumsy we look. Marian the Librarian scene is looking fantabulous! After rehearsal, went home and died. I planned to get work done. Ended up doing none of that, but watched a Japanese version of Romeo and Juliet. It wasn't all that impressive, but I actually cried.
Sunday morning, left home with family at 9:30 and drove around to look at 4 houses. A couple of them were a bit too narrow, and lacked sunshine. One of them, an apartment right across a huge park, was pretty good, but I didn't fancy the black tiles in the bathroom and shower room (but it came with a real fire place and a sauna!! homg!) The last house was my favorite. It was simple, but wide with lots of light and room. It looked the closest to our current house. However, just as we were about to leave, an old batty woman next door came and belted at us for parking without permission and she demanded my parents to step out and apologize. And then she demanded for our names and made sure that we wouldn't be allowed to move there. HORRIBLE HORRIBLE WOMAN. Dx My poor mother was all shaken up.
Car ride home, I decided none of the houses matched our current residence. I don't want to move. AT ALL. I love my home; it's been ours for 10 years. We designed it, we built it, we owned it. Plus it was my mom's "dream home". But it's already sold to a middle aged couple so it's all spilt milk.
At home, I slept and doodled to get my anxiety out of my system.
I'm not hungry, but I hear tonight's dinner is fried chicken so that'll help me get from :( to :D
