[Hakkai, who is normally so calm and cool and collected, is not always good at hiding his feelings. Before coming to Mayfield, frustration was dealt with depending upon whom the frustration was directed - passive aggressive requests and snide remarks for Sanzo and Gojyo. When he was lucky, which was fairly often, he would simply go out and fight for his life for a bit. Killing made things... better, in a way.
But that's not an option here in Mayfield, so Hakkai is taking out his frustration on everything else in sight. The house has been cleaned, top to bottom, multiple times. Jeep has been washed - both as a dragon and as a vehicle. The yard has been cleaned, and flower beds prepared. The garage is clean and new shelves have been put in. All the laundry in the house has been done.
The same, of course, goes for Sanzo's house.
His charts are meticulously ordered, and his work proves consistently unchallenging, even without the ability to manipulate his chi. He's rapidly running out of things to do, and so he's taken to cooking and baking.

Family, feel free to notice that the refrigerator is full. Sanzo's family? Yours is also full. Neighbors, expect a nice young man knocking on your door offering you casserole or potatoes or stir-fry. Is that him at the door now?
