Totally frustrated by this strike stuff... Mostly with the people who sympathize with the oppressor. "There's a recession! People should shut up & take it because other people would take their jobs in a heartbeat" isn't really an argument.

I'm also frustrated by the fact that a picketer was intentionally hit by a car. The driver was apparently harassing the strikers previous to hitting the guy. The really frustrating part is that no charges were laid... & then someone else decided to take a run at the picket line with their car. It's unacceptable.

Reading "Scattered Minds: A New Look at the Origins and Healing of Attention Deficit Disorder" by Dr. Gabor Maté. It's really brilliant. I've been reading it at work because it's work related, especially because Maté relates childhood stress & trauma in his work. That, in itself, is kinda triggering for me, which can be difficult to deal with at work. I read stuff in the book & think to myself "Oh, that's why," & then I totally feel like crying or throwing the book across my very small office.

The best part about the book is that it's organized into pretty short chapters. Seeing as Maté has ADD & is writing it for people with ADD, I think that was pretty intentional. He's really very awesome; his book on addiction, "In the Realm of Hungry Ghosts," is absolutely phenomenal.
