[PRIVATE | Hard to hack]
And now we have the
explanation from the captain himself. While I find it difficult to accept the facts that have been presented by everyone, they are still all that I require, and what I must do is now clear.
I first believed it right for the crew of the Silvana to turn itself in; apparently, the captain shared my thoughts on this and did so. What I did not expect was that the new president would rebuff -- perhaps even ridicule -- the idea. If what the captain has said is true, then he has done his part and this now puts the blame on the Ivonian government, for whatever dirty political move against the Badlands that they mean to achieve. It is an ugly reality, and one that even I must recognize. I am ashamed of it.
As I told the captain, I believe the only right thing to do now would be to stay and accomplish what I can for the country from my post. To go back to Ivona would be a useless endeavor; I feel that I will be most useful by assisting this ship.
