Wow, I can't believe it's been a whole year... He was such an amazing person, even without his achievements in the horse world.
My favorite memory was first semester, freshman year. I had Shelby as my instructor, but for one of our classes, she had to be away somewhere. She had Jon cover our lessons and that's when I was introduced to endless work without stirrups and the infamous "double posting." It was probably one of the best lessons I've ever had, simply for the fact that it was a basic lesson, yet it achieved so much. I remember Jon commenting on Leo's trot and how bouncy it was, lol. I decided to incorporate more work without stirrups and double-posting when I rode Leo on my own and the difference was amazing.
I only got to lesson with Jon once or twice, but he was always someone I could approach or talk to. And of course, Caleb. SBC is not the same without him.
One more memory is when he dressed up as a princess and was in Prothro. I don't remember why he did it, but it was definitely one of the best memories.
