Compared to where I last was it actually isn't so bad. Bright and fancy may be going a bit too far, more like well lit and not at war.

You'd be right there. More like fight for freedom, not so much a war actually as a rebellion.

Is this a widely known national thing or sort of swept under the rug and only referenced now and then on the news?

Seeing how there are mutants fighting giant robots and humans helping the mutants against other humans, I think pretty much everyone knows it's going on.

That's definitely not my dimension, then. Our fair rides don't even work that well.

I was going to mention that we weren't talking about the same world but just going along was fun. I'm guessing your world doesn't have mutants or Sentinels then?

We have Malibu Barbie and Aaron Echolls.

Your world is scary enough then. Who needs Sentinels when there's Malibu Barbie?

That depends on what a Sentinel is.

Picture a giant, as in same height as some skyscrapers in New York, robot with the ability to incinerate you leaving nothing. Not near as bad as Barbie.
