Hey, if worse comes to worse, I can always live out of it like a hobo. Wait, no, actually. That's more cardboard box material.
Scully? Really? Veronica Mars. I'm not sure that I've got any questions this guide can't answer, since 'why are we here' seems to be a little tired. What can you tell me about the curses from a firsthand experience?
The ticking would get to you after awhile. You really should find an apartment and some roommates. I have a spare bedroom, if you want.
The curses? They're...unsettling. Even the more benign ones like changing colors or speaking in haiku. The closest thing I can compare it to is being drugged, although it's really not the same feeling at all. We assume that we have a certain amount of control over our minds and bodies that just doesn't apply here. In order to cope, you need to be comfortable with lacking a great deal of control over your life.

The thing is, Dad always said to never talk to strangers, and I don't know how much I'm willing to subscribe to that kind of thing. The lacking a great deal of control. Generally, I like being in control of my mind and body.
No, I don't think it's the same thing as being drugged.
I'd say "trust me, I'm a federal agent," but that doesn't really mean much. Apartments are easy to get around here anyway; landlords are very understanding. But the offer stands, if you change your mind.
I'm afraid you don't get any choice in the matter. We're all cursed sooner or later, and you either make your peace with it or it drives you mad.
No offense to you, but the last federal agent that I met.... not so much with the nice guy attitude. Actually, he was kind of a jerk. And a wrong jerk at that.
Apparently it's not that hard to make peace with it. I don't exactly see any screaming loonies around here.
I take it you have the basic rundown of this place?

I have a guide and I'm very bright eyed. I don't know if that means I've got the basic rundown, but I thin it means I've got a decent idea.

That's good. My name's Dana Scully. If you have any questions, I'm happy to answer them.
