I just buried Mr. Wizard, a fully-grown Green Anole who had come to live in my house for a while, out in the garden under some shady boxwood.

He'd been here for a few months, so I had grown quite attached to him. He was a jumper. I'm sure that's what did him in. He scared me a couple of times by almost landing on my head as he made his way from the ledge to the window over my office door. He wasn't too far from the porch when he died (the dog door flap would have been a cinch for him). I feel bad that he didn't make it outside, though there were plenty of bugs in here for him to eat (unfortunately), and some nice wood walls, sunlight and lush green plants. And I certainly enjoyed his company.
