(no subject)
We have two new creatures! There was a fairly horrendous journey to Bristol, which has the only rat rehoming place we know of, in the driving rain and wind, but we came home with some rats.
One is ginormous (compared to what we've been used to) and is agouti and hooded. Her friend (they surely can't be related) is small but fat compared to the skeletal little dot we had in the later months, and is very like Dot. She even has dots on her belly!
It's strange but they are not bitey or scared of being handled at all, but haven't really come out of their box. They seem rather passive. Our last lot were intensely curious, but I'm worried that these haven't even come out much to drink. They have both accepted food from my fingers tho', which is rather sweet, and both have gone 'vibrorat' as a result of my stroking. Me and Pnos are wondering whether to get another pair to live with them...if we do, we'll probably leave it a little while to let the critters get used to their new surroundings.
