So life went and got BATSHIT on me and it took me a full month to get part two of this picspam up. *sigh*. But it's here now! To refresh your memory, HERE is part 1.

We shall beging this picspam as every picspam should begin: with William Houston being pretty.

The probationers' exam is approaching and they are all studying. Ethel makes witty comments because she wins at life.

Thomas Hooley, the man that Millais and Ethel saved in episode 1 (but they couldn't save his legs =/) has gone for weeks without speaking. Nurse Ada Russell (remember her =D?) is worried for him and asks Millais to try to help.

Millais: What is it you're hiding in their, Thomas? What is it you can't let out? What is it you can't tell me?

Ethel wakes up the following morning with...

A RASH CAUSED BY SCARLETT FEVER ON HER NECK OMG D: D: D:!!!
Seriously though, I was so scared for Ethel!

Ethel marches through the hospital. Who does she go to for help? ...

The Matron? A nurse friend? ...

DOCTOR. MILLAIS. CULPIN. Heck yeah!

He notices her standing across the room and he just stops what he's doing and comes over. gneilgnsiengengiuengulseng!!

Millais: What's wrong?

♥ ♥

Millais brings Ethel over to Isolation.

SHE LOOKS BACK AT HIM! Oh, it gets me in the soul.

This scene is orchastrated beautifully. It switches back and forth from Ethel being brought to her room in Isolation and Millais leaving her and having a silent freak attack. This is when the show finally stops being ambiguous and just shouts, 'THEY ARE AN OTP!'.

OH GOSHHHHHHHH. I LOVE THEM SO MUCH, YOU GUYS.

You can watch that scene as well:

Nurse Russell requests to tend to Ethel. YAY ADA!

Oh goodness =(.

I love this storyline with Millais and Thomas so much. SO MUCH. Millias is completely powerless when it comes to Ethel and there is nothing he can do to help her, so he just thrusts all his energy into fixing Thomas.

Thomas: Who are you taking to?

Millais: I'm talking to you. Thomas Hooley.

(THE WAY HE SAYS THAT LINE. IT DOES SOMETHING TO MY BRAIN.)

Thomas: I'm not here. There's no one in this bed.

Okay so that scene had nothing to do with Millais/Ethel, but as I said, Millais feels he has to fix Thomas, so I'm putting these scenes in. You're not upset about more William Houston, are you?! =P

Millais asks after Ethel. Actually, he doesn't even have to ask, Ada knows that's what he's come for. WIN.

But Ada tells him "it's getting the better of her" and it hurts his, and my, soul.

Millais suggests some *longword* medicine, a last resort, and Ada gets all flustered.

Millais spends the night in the hospital. HE. SPENDS. THE. NIGHT. IN. THE. HOSPITAL. He can't bear to leave! guuuuuh

This scene is just, the best ever.

Millais comes with a weelchair and just picks Thomas up and puts him in it.

Thomas: What are you doing? Where are you taking me?
Millais: Taking who? There's not anyone here, is there? I'm not taking anyone anywhere.

YOU GUYS, MILLAIS CULPIN IS JUST MADE OF 1000000% WIN!!!! *FLAILS*!!! WHY WAS I NOT BORN A CENTURY SOONER SO I COULD HAVE MARRIED HIM?!

Thomas refuses to move himself about in the wheelchair because there is no point when there's nowhere to go.

It's sad =(.

Ethel's still sick =(. Ada suggests giving her the medicine Millais mentioned, and the doctor agrees after Ada bursts, "she's dying!"

Sydney Holland: We treat bodies here, not minds.
Millais: I don't believe there's a difference.

♥♥♥
Millais recruits Sydney's help with Thomas, and he gives him a job in the hospital's kitchen. At the end of the episode we see Thomas smiling at some feathers. Not joking. But Millais cured him! YAAY!

Millais then goes and visits Ethel in Isolation. THIS SCENE, YOU GUYS. OH MAN.

Millais: It was when Lawes made House Surgeon I realized I don't fit in here at The London. To earn the line (yeah, I don't know what he said there really, moving on), stuffed shirts, and all that.

Millais: I can't do it. Anyhow, I've... I've been offered a job. Overseas. China, for heaven's sake. Shanghai! Imagine that.

Millais: And I know what to do.

Millais: What do you think? ... Yes. Yes, I thought you'd say that.

Millais: *takes her hand* You are alright, aren't you?

Millais: Really?

Lawes comes and tells Millais he's wanted in Isolation. This is the one instance EVER when I don't hate the man.

He walks the last couple feet so slowly, he's so scared for what he'll see =(.

BUT ETHEL IS THERE SMILING AT HIM OMG!!!!!

OH HAPPY DAY!! They are adorable XD!

THIS SCENE! THIS. SCENE.

The kaleidescope shots are so pretty!

(haha)

Ethel: No closer, I'm contagious.

I couldn't even think of anything to say that wouldn't disrupt the GLORIOUS BEAUTY OF IT ALL.

You can also watch that last scene:

So that's it, you guys. Even if the BBC does go on to make a "Casualty 1908" or something Millais Culpin won't be in it because he goes to Shanghai, ;__; so what's the point?! I propose a Millais/Ethel spin-off series or movie! This biography tells us that Ethel eventually joins Millais in Shanghai, where they marry in 1913 (6 years later?!). They have a daughter in 1914 (didn't waste any time ;D). Think of the epicness! An awesome doctor and an awesome nurse in the turn of the century! A story spanning Austraila, England, and China! ROMANCEEEEE! I WANT THIS TO BE MADE!!!
