back in the studio
Much has changed. There seems to be a mass exodus of good people to a space a couple blocks away. Might go there myself. New people too. At least the creepy guy is long gone!
So, digital painting stretched- very tricksy, that. Thin, thin pre-treated canvas that flakes before I put the coating on. Hard to stretch tight without distroying, very obvious if it wrinkles (usually, you gesso after stretching, and then the gesso pulls the canvas tighter. I wish! Oh well- so that's ready to paint on. So much to do before tomarrow night!
Was surprized to see very few people at the studios today. looking forward to it though- will be good to see people there.
I have an old painting that I'm going to re-stretch and put somewhere alse in the building. Is abstract and not like my other things. Fun to do, and I like it, but much lower quality than what I do now. I could just get rid of it, but I like it and it's still a little better than most abstract corporate art I see around. Maybe someone will buy it. :)
More computer today, and then off to print stuff in the wee hours! Wheeee.
