swing and mesh

So I went to go to House of Voodoo and got off 2 stops too late on the 10 bus. Interestingly enough, when I followed the first sound of music I heard, it was swing, and low and behold, there was a big glass window with people dancing! The Metronome. So as I picked out a flyer, the lady at the door ran outside to talk with me- very nice, and a guy or two came outside onto the pavement to get me in for a dance. When I said I wazs looking for a different place, one of them danced on the sidewalk with me! :)

When I got to Voodoo, was pretty dead, so I walked back. Despite Ibprophen, my legs were still pretty sore from Caporeira. Whew! Buuuuut I had to try some dancing. Much fun. Met good people, including a woman who did belly dancing, and used to do all the gothy clubs, but stopped going when her other goth friends moved away. I convinced her to come out to Luna Rouge, and Death Guild again. :)

Too much goth has had a negative effect on me though- shock! Negative??? Goth??? I liked the swing people- silly and playful, welcoming. Good stuff. Of course, I was wearing my industrial clothes... mesh and shiny black pant and spikey things. *grins* still, to their merit, they didn't care. Or maybe because I didn't. Fun stuff.
