The House (Victorian antique porn)
The President's house at Sage, my mom's new residence. It was built in 1818 and the downstairs (apart from the modern catering kitchen) is maintained in period style. Each room is a different decade between 1818 and 1920.
The study (imported from London) is my favorite.
After the second day of running up and down 3 flights of circular stairs I realized that I was building up certain muscles in my legs again... asymmetrically.
The basement is even cool- old servant's quarters, now mostly gutted- parlor, kitchen, butler's pantry... My home made video tours and photos. Incredible place. I only took photos of two rooms on the second floor, and only detail shots on the third. My mother's still moving in. Boxes, etc. I stayed in a room that was the old maid's quarters. We think my mother's bedroom would have been the nursery.
Such a beautiful house! Was wishing it was in SF so I could host a Victorian party.
