ready

Following yoga, I just got back from tidying up the studio for Open Studios at the Art Explosion. Left a note, biz cards and a mailing list sheet.

It feels weird to do that and not participate, but then again, it's this weekend and so is my due-date. That said right now I feel like I could do some of it... but it's also nice not to have to worry about one more thing right now.

I say "tidy" rather than "clean" because there really is no "clean" with studio space- at least not this one!

I took home my Haggard/Dawkins paintings along with a small amount of supplies for painting in the gold text. They are so small it's easy for them to walk off and this way I can work on them at home. They are actually ideal for working on at home b/c they are so small and the only thing left is the text- tons of fine detail in a single color, very easily done at home.

Other art I can do at home is working on more alterations for the Exquisite Corps project. ...then there's the artist-prodding, weaving, sewing, cd-burning and general sorting/cleaning stuff. Plenty to do right here.

Now I've got everything in it's place, the tutoring kids are in an okay space, more is better, but they'll be okay now. The house is ready enough. The bag is packed enough. A few more days will probably see me more ready, but as of now I'm good, and still have plenty to keep me occupied at the same time. :)

I don't feel impatient, I don't feel nervous. I'm just here, ready to experience what is as it comes.

...though I am excited about getting back to Martial arts and trying new things like flying trapeze... it will be a while, but still. :)
