So, correct me if I'm misunderstanding, but these alterations - they weren't voluntary? You all just woke up with them? Because I've seen fads catch like wildfires before, but this seems a bit much.

I seriously don't think you'll have any trouble starting up your own store, if you can't find one to work in. There are plenty of girls here who like pretty outfits.

If you manage to get them to move into one of the apartments, you'll have to tell me how you did it. I've been trying to get them to come into the buildings pretty much since they've been here with... well, no luck, obviously.

I think everyone likes looking good, despite what they say.

And I think I have the advantage of prior knowledge.

True, but some people's definition of 'good' kind of differs.

So you bribed them?

Oh it does, I'm very aware, but ultimately it's what the individual wants for themselves, and how to make them the best version of what they want.

...not exactly. I just have a unique insight as to why they've kept themselves isolated. That and they both like me, it makes it easier.

That's better than 'it looks good and it's popular, so wear it.'

I'm just glad that someone might actually get them to come in out of the woods.

Designers that cater to that crowd are rather lazy in my opinion.

I'll do my best. But I'm not expecting much, at least not right away.

Do you think it's more important to cater to a crowd or to make something you think expresses how you feel? Some designers go on and on about how their fashion is art.

Something is more than nothing.

Fashion is art, but what most designers forget is that it's a collaborative art. Fashion is meant to evoke something about the person who wears it. You can't have one without the other.

It is.

The way that some fashion designers talk, where I come from, and the things that they make, it seems like it's more about them rather than the person wearing it. But I'm not fashion design major. I just like the shoes.

Well, that's common where I live, too. I just have a different outlook on it.

Shoes can be functional and beautiful, the best of both worlds.

I'd have to see some of your work to be absolutely sure.

I daresay if things go according to plan, everyone will see my work. I fully intend to spread it as far and wide as I can.

Like I said, you shouldn't have any problems with it catching on in a place like this. Where did you find an apartment?

One of the towers here in town, the landlord was quite reasonable about putting off rent until I'm established. Granted, I think it's an arrangement that's popular around here.
