So was I, honestly. Some people seem to accept it fairly quickly but I suppose that's because this sort of thing isn't unusual in their world. I mean, I've got magic in mine too but nothing like this.

It exists, you know. Here, especially, but in some other places too.

No. There's marvels of technology that can make things look like magic, but there's no actual, real magic.

[And then a soft snort from the witch. She won't force anyone to believe in magic, she knows they'll seei t for themselves here.]

What d'you think this all is, then? An absurdly realistic dream?

Well, it's simple enough to drug a person and transport them unawares.

Did you walk in here or wake up here? I would've thought the same thing if I didn't just stumble into the Square. Mind you, when I arrived, I was entering a room that changes its appearance. But I'm quite certain an entire city's beyond its abilities.

Paralytic agents and technologies that freeze a person in place can easily account for "appearing" in a place standing still.
