U-Um!! T-This really isn't right!! I've ended up kissing my happy meal, my cake and my sandwich to protect my first kiss any time anyone came close enough to...
I-I'm really sorry! I'm not that kind of person! A first kiss is a very important thing...
Please don't be mad-- umm!! Oh no, there's another--! Gotta go!!!
[ A gasp, and

Creeping along once again, keeping out of the light and onto less traversed paths, he's near there.
He senses her reiatsu first, and slows his swift pace in time to watch Inoue-san dart into the light of streetlamp. Given his late poor luck, Uryuu wonders if he should say anything at all and invite some catastrophe she would doubtless regret.
Unfortunately, his body chooses that moment to remind him of one of the repercussions of running around on a winter night: Uryuu sneezes.]

However, it's the sneeze that quickly makes her stand up and look around her-- though Ishida-kun's reiatsu isn't unfamiliar and certainly isn't what will make her uncomfortable. She's safe, and she releases a sigh of relief. ]
Ishida-kun!! Hey!!
[ She waves to him, enthusiastically as ever. ]
Why aren't you wearing the scarf I made? It's really chilly, isn't it?

Rather than wave, Uryuu nods, pocketing the handkerchief-- and, like that, his composure falters at her question.]
Good evening, Inoue-san. The-- It--
[Of course he had it. But-- Ah. Her. The short, pig-tailed menace, and his efforts to preserve the scarf -- and also remove something with which she could grab hold and pull, choke, or otherwise manipulate him.
A touch sheepish at having forgotten to put it back on, Uryuu opens his messenger back and pulls it out, unable to resist a slight flourish.]
Here we are. I--
[No, the mere thought of why it had been at all removed was souring. Better not to explain. Wrapping it around his neck and tying, Uryuu keeps with her topics.]
--It certainly is.

It's a pretty look for him, she has to admit. And she did work so hard-- all the way down to the ends, and she smiles proudly as she claps her hands in front of her. ]
You forgot, didn't you? Now look what happened!
[ A light chuckle. ]
You're going to catch cold like this!

Instead, Uryuu is admiring how her mittens compliment her hat and scarf, almost to the point that he finds himself noticing that, well, Inoue-san looks cu--
No, only unfortunately, what properly interrupts that line of near-thought is her fixing his scarf. Surely it is the bite of the cold air that makes his cheeks so red!]
I don't-- think I did such a bad job on it... and I didn't forget, exactly, or not at first.
[He protests, having to save some face - and, meaning it. Though not nearly as much as he ought. Still, he will never elaborate on the latter in this lifetime.
Uryuu pushes back his shoulders, not in an obvious way, but as part of a straightening movement. His hand lifts; fingers nudging up his glasses.]Inoue-san needn't worry about that. I take very good care of myself, and am rarely if ever ill. I very much doubt that my ( ... )

Well, what can she do? She ends up giggling, moving a mitten-covered hand up to just under her mouth, her shoulders shaking in mirth. It's odd, and perhaps very comforting at the same time, to have Ishida just-- be himself. It's relaxing in a place where there is just so much she still can't understand. ]
Which is another way of saying you caught a chill. But that's the idea of having a cozy scarf, Ishida-kun!
[ Smiling up at him, blissfully unaware of the creeping vines on the overhanging street lamp, she slides her arms behind her back, bouncing a little on her heels. ]
Would you like to go get a cup of tea? It's so chilly out here and I don't want to go back to an empty apartment immediately!

[Didn't catch a chill. Only, his shoulders drop, so short a distance as to be barely discernable, and he exhales, quick and visible in puffed white. It is pointless to argue it; Inoue-san has settled on it.
Inoue-san's smile is at once simple and blinding, charming and quiet, and it may not have been the encroaching mistletoe that makes him feel, if not consciously think, that it would not be so terrible if they were to be caught.
A feeling (if not a thought) he is soon to regret, if for her sake mostly. Thusly caught, he cannot think to deny her request, though increased exposre would doubtless augment their danger-- but]
Ah, [his brow creases] Inoue-san... how long has it been empty?
