Wisconsin.
It was the great Wisconsin weekend.
Saturday I hit a show for ARW out of Fall Creek, WI. Fun little outdoor show. I team up with Travis "Hilton" and we face Ian Xavier and Shimdog. Lots of funny spots in the match. But.. we end up with a loss. Lots of karoke and fun after the show. Dinner at Country Kitchen, and sleep.
Day two is an hour away at a festival called "Mardi Gras Days" in a town called Ladysmith, WI. Man, nice location right by the lake, and unlike last weekend, it wasn't too hot :). This day sees Annthraxx vs. young Jay Chaotic. I've wanted to wrestle this kid for a long time. He has tons of potential. This match sees all sorts of offense from him. I was on the outside, and this kid hits the ropes and dives right on tops of me.. owie. Inside the ring he hits me with a Dudley Dog, headscissors, dropkicks,kicks to the head, you name it. He finally goes up for the moonsault, but, took too long and he misses it. Bellyflop for him. I finally get him up for the DVD, which he gets out of, blah. He tried to make a comeback, but I SOMEHOW ended up getting an easy pin on him in the corner.. I'm not exactly sure what happened. :)
I really,really enjoyed this match. This was hands down the best match I have ever had. Jay is a young kid, but I hope he gets alot of opportunities, he could really do well for himself. I personally am benefitting big time getting all these opportunities to work with some of the guys. My matches and camp experiences have mostly all been with guys, and I think it's really been helping me out alot. I hope to continue doing it, and also wrestling Jay again very soon.
We then hang around the festival a bit, and very tiredly head back to MN.
I have some family business to take care of next week, but I may head back to ARW next week.
It's so fun,I totally have my wrestling fire again. I want to go to camp. I want to wrestle any opportunity I can. I want to watch tapes, and try all sorts of new stuff. It's nice to have that back. :)
