It never fails...

I get a nice seat at the arena, and then a tall lion comes and sits in front of me and blocks my view.

Don't you hate it when that happens?

This was for Penn State THON Night at the Reading Royals game, benefiting pediatric cancer patients. The ceremonial puck drop was done by 2 children who had defeated their cancer, and 1 person who was there honoring a child who lost her battle in December. There wasn't a dry eye in the house. I'm tearing up just thinking about it.

The Royals players wore special blue and white Penn State jerseys for the occasion, and the jerseys were auctioned off after the game, with the proceeds going to THON.

The Royals won 5 to 4, and I decided to stick around after the game to attend the auction. To my surprise, I actually won the jersey I most wanted, the one off the back of goalie Carsen Chubak. I even got to meet him, and he gave me his goalie stick as well. I was gushing.

I was so happy, everything smelled like roses. But this morning, reality has set back in, and I'm wondering why my house smells like a locker room.
