A/N: I'm hoping this fits the prompt, because I keep getting the annoying feel that it doesn't for some reason.
Fallen Angel
Ike despises the name "Fallen Angel" for Pit, which is what he's often called by the others at the Smash Mansion.
"There's nothing wrong with the name, you know," Pit says once, softly.
"But there is! Others think it's... cute, sometimes, because of where you're from. It makes sense. But then, at other times, it implies something completely different. It shows that you lose, you fall, and you stay down. You give up. Is that really what you want to be known for?"
Pit looks toward the ground, and says nothing.
"Come on, I know that's not what you want. No one should ever want that."
Pit sighs. "You're right. I... I don't. I just never thought of it that way, that's all."
"I see. I'm sorry for yelling before." Ike smiles gently. "Well, why don't we be partners from now on, then? I promise I won't let you fall."
