Chitose was-- (hidingItsukiItsukiItsukiItsuki)
Alone. Very alone, trapped in a dark void with only a small, barred window to look out onto the world. Not that she could see much; her sight was poor, and had always been--everything far away was a blur, and even that which was close up she had to squint to make out. Not that anything ever got that close. But she could hear, and smell, and feel, and it was all wrong. The air was too thick on her tongue, the sounds too stretchy and watery, the smell too coppery and disgusting. She knew something bad had happened, but she couldn't tell what.
She fumbled for the bell, glimmering gold on her wrist, and shook it meekly. It rang hollowly, the sound dying soon after it reached her own ears. Somewhere in her mind terror gripped her--no one was coming to save her. Itsuki wasn't coming to save her. But he had to, he'd promised. This wasn't his fault, it was Yae's. Those men had come and taken him away because Yae ran away.
She crawled to a corner which didn't reveal itself in her vision until she was was scant inches from it. Tucking her legs in close near her chest, she shivered, the bell tinkling dully as she did. He would save her, she just had to wait. Wait and be good.
Eventually it was quiet outside. And Chitose waited.
Eventually it was quiet inside. And Chitose waited.
Eventually her stomach stopped protesting its lack of food, and simply started devouring itself. And Chitose waited.
Eventually, Chitose slept.

[...And when she wakes up, she's not in her closet back home and she's staring at a strange device she's never seen before. She picks it up, examines it for a moment, and then, half-panicked, starts looking around. What's going on?]
