The Power To Kill A Yak From 200 Yards Away... With Mind Bullets!
Looks like it's that time again- time for me to start up a new Star Wars RPG campaign. The entire thing will be done online, and I'm looking into various combined voice/text chat options, just to make things run more smoothly than they have in the past. So, this post is to see who might be interested in such a thing.
I haven't settled on a type of story yet, which is actually something I could use some input on. I will decide on something once anyone with an opinion has weighed in. Though, I do have some concepts I've been toying with (and taking notes on) for a while now:
1. An alternate version of the Star Wars saga, spanning all 6 movies, with the players involved in all the major events from a different perspective, and several parts of the story changed to keep things interesting. (Do they call these "Infinities" campaigns?) Luke & Leia might not be siblings, Palpatine might not become Emperor, and Jar Jar might (gasp!) not be an absolute dumbass. It’s the saga as I would have written it. (Be afraid, be very afraid.)
2. A campaign centered around heroes who are smugglers and bounty hunters, in a mix of science fiction and old west themes. Basically, a cross between Firefly and Cowboy Bebop, in the Star Wars universe.
3. A campaign centered around a clash between armies, where the heroes are a small battle group of 300 Mandalorians....
4. The Clone Wars, from beginning to end, through the eyes of clone troopers. Including Order 66, ideally in a way that makes perfect sense from that point of view.
5. Or maybe something like this.
So, send me an e-mail if anything sound good, and we can start working out a schedule. I’ve just updated the basic rules and character creation process on the site, so it should be pretty easy to use now- there have been some minor changes, for those of you who’ve used it before, so re-reading is probably a good idea. It’s shorter now anyway.
