Canada Day, oh what a day

I really enjoyed my Canada Day. Many of you who read this were there with me...er, at least 2 of you. Good wholesome fun, right? The sparklers really made my night. There's something about bright, twinkly light moving through an otherwise dark space that just makes me feel so free and so perfectly joyful. It's like youth, adventure, hope...a warm blanket on a cold night. Blast it. Due to human error, I just lost the next bit of my entry. Ah well, I shall recreate it as best I can. Of course, the time before the sparklers was very good too. I love talking to my friends because the discussions open my mind, or at least make me laugh - both wonderful things indeed. After the sparklers, the group of us (after one person sadly departed) walked around the neighbourhood in an attempt to find and then watch fireworks. We weren't incredibly successful, but we did wave to some people standing on the balcony outside their apartment. And we also broke into a frightful yet delightful version of our national anthem upon seeing a Canadian flag. That inspired a response from a passing vehicle. It's nice to know that other Canadians also love their country. From that point, we sauntered over to a nearby park, which is rumoured to be home to coyotes. I imagine that they had already feasted on some poor human's flesh, because when we arrived there was no sign of any roaming creatures, except a skinny little dog. That scared me a bit. Little dogs are my nemeses. Anyhow, I got to swing! I felt myself being pulled away from the ground and toward the sky - like I was suddenly and finally free from the restraints of gravity; of the world. The sky was beautiful, and more so because the moon was full. One of my comrades suggested that we all lie down on a sloped grassy area (a little hill) and view the stars above us. We arranged our selves in circle formation (a la, the Babysitters Club movie)and contemplated life. A heh...toilet paper represents the circle of life. Think about it.
